The Painted Pixel ("we," "us," "our") operates thepaintedpixel.com and provides fine art printing and artwork capture services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly, when you place an order, drop off artwork, book an appointment, or contact us:

• Name, email address, and phone number

• Shipping and/or billing address, if applicable

• Order details (print size, quantity, paper/canvas, finishing options, and similar)

• The artwork or image files you upload or drop off

• Any notes or messages you send us

Payment information. Payment is processed through our payment provider at checkout. We do not collect or store your full card number — that goes directly to the processor, not to us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours may collect basic technical information when you visit — such as browser type, device, and pages viewed — through our website host (Squarespace) and any analytics or cookies it uses. See "Cookies" below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Process and fulfill your order or appointment

• Communicate with you about your order (proofs, questions, shipping and pickup updates)

• Provide customer service and keep order records

• Improve our website and services

Your artwork specifically: we only use the files and physical pieces you provide to complete your paid order. We do not print, reproduce, or otherwise use your artwork for any other purpose. Your work is never used in marketing, or anywhere else without your separate, explicit opt-in — for example, the checkbox on our order and drop-off forms asking permission to feature your piece on Instagram or our website.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your artwork to any third party. Ever.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run our business and complete your order, with service providers such as:

• Our website host (Squarespace)

• Our payment processor

• File storage and transfer tools (such as Dropbox) used to receive your print files

• Shipping carriers, when your order ships

• Automation and record-keeping tools we use internally to manage orders

These providers only receive what they need to do their job for us, and they're not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Cookies

Our website, hosted on Squarespace, may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality and analytics (for example, to remember your cart or understand site traffic). You can control cookies through your browser settings. We don't use cookies to sell your data or serve third-party ads.

Data Retention

We keep order records and files for as long as needed to fulfill your order and handle any reprint or customer service needs afterward. Files are kept on our own archived server and in a secure Dropbox. You can ask us to delete your files or personal information once your order is complete — see "Your Choices" below.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to let us know right away if you believe your information has been compromised.

Your Choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information or files at any time by emailing us (see "Contact Us" below), once your order is complete. If you've opted in to having your artwork featured on our Instagram or website, you can withdraw that permission at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy on this page.
